Atlys Board Failure

This is the collected information from the board failure that happened September 29th 2016

  • After getting wire bonds fixed Atlys board was no longer functioning.
    • No major incident of physical damage to board, or noticeable sparking.
  • Board failure has been seen at other institutions.
    • DCDC power block (IC16) breakdown at Liverpool.
    • Craig Sawyer (Oxford) reported 2 boards with broken regulator (IC15)

  • To fix board failure regulator is getting replaced. Backup Atlys board has been ordered.
A backup Atlys board was purchased and has been in use. The original board had IC16 replaced however it still did not work.
