First Electrical Hybrid Panel

The first hybrid panel for electrical prototypes came on Nov. 29th 2016 from SCIPP. It came with 8 hybrids ver 1.1, 4 left handed and 4 right handed hybrids. From the Liverpool documentation this is likeley the Stevenage 5 hybrid panel (https://hep.ph.liv.ac.uk/twiki/bin/view/CleanroomTestStands/ABChcc)

Component fixes for hybrids

Hybrid 0

  • Remove C5
  • Fully Remove C7-C11
  • Add C7-C12
  • Rotate Alignment of RP1 & RP2
    • RP1 salvaged on Nov 30th, needs new RP1
  • Fix NTC2 orientation
Hybrid 1
  • Remove C7, C8, and C11 -fixed on Nov 30th
  • Add C7-C12 -fixed on Nov 30th
  • Rotate Alignment of RP1 & RP2 -fixed on Dec 1st
  • Fix NTC2 Orientation -fixed on Dec 5th
Hybrid 2
  • Remove C8 and C10
  • Add C7-C12
  • Rotate alignment of RP1 & RP2
  • Add R1 (I incorrectly read H1)
Hybrid 3
  • Remove C8
  • Add C7-C12
  • Rotate alignment of RP1 & RP2
  • Remove H1 stuck to side of NTC
  • Add R1
Hybrid 4
  • Remove C11 and C9
  • Add C7-C12
  • Rotate alignment of RP1 & RP2
  • Add C4
  • Add R1
Hybrid 5
  • Remove C9
  • Add C7-C12
  • Rotate alignment of RP1 & RP2
    • RP1 salvaged on Nov 30th, needs new RP1
  • Remove and replace C4
  • Add C3
Hybrid 6
  • Remove capacitor stuck to side of CP10
  • Add C7-C12
  • Rotate alignment of RP1 & RP2
    • RP1 salvaged on Nov 30th, needs new RP1
Hybrid 7
  • Remove C11 -fixed on Nov 30th
  • Add C7-C12 -fixed on Nov 30th
  • Rotate Alignment of RP1 & RP2 -fixed on Dec 1st

New Capacitors:

All hybrids came with misplaced C7-C12, either none were placed or all had incorrect alignment. Similarly every hybrid had RP1 and RP2 with incorrect orientation.

NTC2 Orientation

On hybrid 0 and hybrid 1 the NTC2 is incorrectly soldered. Instead of connecting the pads on both sides it sits vertically on one pad

These are the pages with the changes made to individual hybrids, along with what chips were used and the results from DAQ tests.

The hybrid panel configuration files are included: Hybrid_Panel_Config.tar.gz (The front end parameters are not optimized)
